Coaches and Returning Athletes for the 2025-2026 Season

Ian Bennett - I was quite fortunate to have some amazing coaches in my youth. These coaches helped me shape many guiding principles in my life – from the disciplined pursuit of excellence to the virtue of making decisions based on being a good person. Honoring these coaches is why I began coaching. 25 years later I continue to try to instill the value of being a great teammate and show volleyball players how enjoyable this game can be as their abilities improve.
Coaching Experience:
8 post-secondary seasons. Trojans/Kodiaks ACAC
8 Team Alberta seasons. 16u/19u
17 Club Seasons. Canada West/LVC/Panthers

Parker Bijl - This is Parker Bijl’s 7th year coaching volleyball and 2nd season with Panthers, but brings many years of coaching experience with him. Parker attended the University of Lethbridge where he received his bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology & Education. He is currently a fifth year teacher at Wilson Middle School where he coaches the Senior Girls volleyball program. Parker has his Developmental certification and hopes to pursue his Advanced later this year. His last few seasons of coaching have involved 5 seasons in club, running both Junior & Senior varsity programs in high school, and now middle school level teams. Coach Parker is looking forward to bringing a contagious energy, demonstrating positive leadership, and implementing a dedicated work ethic to the 17U Girls Panthers team.
18U - September 2007 to December 2008
Hi! I'm Mack Lewicki! I have played volleyball for as long as I can remember. I have 6 years of post-secondary experience with the Lethbridge Kodiaks and I also played with the Panthers early in my career. While my game continued to grow beyond the club, it’s been rewarding to return in a coaching role. I was the assistant coach for the U16 Panther team two years ago and I also supported the Panthers U17 program last season. I bring a competitive, high-energy approach to the court and love helping young athletes grow their skills, confidence, and passion for the game. This season I am very lucky to be alongside two very experienced volleyball players and coaches Taryn and Alexa. I am really looking forward to the upcoming season and helping our Panther athletes grow and take their game to the next level! :)
Hi! My name is Alexa Koshman, and I am thrilled to be coaching the u18 Panthers team this year! I grew up in Lethbridge playing volleyball and eventually went on to go play 4 years post-secondary at College of the Rockies in Cranbrook. I am currently a teacher at Winston Churchill High School and have run the volleyball program there for the past 4 years. I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities that volleyball has given me. Now, it is incredibly important to me that I help create those same opportunities for my players. It is my goal as a coach to help players reach their utmost potential and to also instill a deep love and respect for the game. I can’t wait for the season ahead!
Hello! My name is Taryn Bach and I am so excited to be coaching alongside these wonderful ladies this year! I have just recently retired from playing post secondary volleyball at the Lethbridge Polytechnic for the past 5 years. Being able to play at home in front of my community and family is something I will cherish forever. I am so excited to be entering this next chapter in a different role coaching for the club that means so much to me! I am really looking forward to working with new athletes and coaches who value hard work, respect, competitive fun and growth! My goal will always be to give back to the game that has provided me with so many life lessons and opportunities. I cannot wait for this upcoming season!
